Trips: a collaborative travel planner app
Add a travel planner app to the suite, so a group can plan a trip together in Puter.
Scope
- Trips and dashboard: create, copy, archive, re-date and share trips; a dashboard with the next trip and upcoming bookings.
- Day planner: a timeline of places and bookings per day, with drag and drop, undo, travel times, opening hours, and a map with routes.
- Places: a shared pool with details, photos and ratings; nearby search; import from map links, GPX and KML.
- Bookings: flights, trains, lodging and more, each in its own time zone; AI import from PDFs, emails and wallet passes.
- Costs: expenses in any currency, split between members, with settle-up, budgets and CSV export.
- Lists and files: packing lists and to-dos; attachments linked to bookings, places and expenses.
- Collaboration: members with roles, invite links and guests; chat, notes and polls; a read-only public link; ICS feeds.
- Offline: installable PWA that keeps trips, files and map tiles, and syncs queued changes.
- Extras: collections of saved places, a visited-countries atlas, travel journals with photo books, road trips, shared leave planning, reminders and an AI assistant that proposes changes for approval.
Constraints
- puter.js is the only backend. Each trip lives in its owner's account, and members pay for their own reads.
- Works offline-first, in all supported UI languages, including right-to-left.
