Android Probe Compatibility Issue with Qt 6.7.2 Environment

Opengallac36opened 1y ago

Hello,

When attempting to build the GammaRay Android probe for a Qt 6.7.2 application, the build fails due to missing Qt6AndroidExtras component. This appears to be related to the reorganization of modules in newer Qt 6 versions, where AndroidExtras functionality has been integrated elsewhere. Error Message

CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:483 (find_package): Found package configuration file: /Users/conorgallagher/Qt2/6.7.2/android_armv7/lib/cmake/Qt6/Qt6Config.cmake but it set Qt6_FOUND to FALSE so package "Qt6" is considered to be NOT FOUND. Reason given by package: Failed to find required Qt component "AndroidExtras". Expected Config file at "/Users/xxxxxxxxxx/Qt2/6.7.2/android_armv7/lib/cmake/Qt6AndroidExtras/Qt6AndroidExtrasConfig.cmake" does NOT exist

  1. I installed GammaRay via Homebrew
  2. Cloned GammaRay repository (to build Android probe)
  3. Attempted to build with Android NDK and Qt 6.7.2
  4. Configured with command:

cmake -DCMAKE_TOOLCHAIN_FILE=$ANDROID_NDK/build/cmake/android.toolchain.cmake
-DANDROID_ABI=armeabi-v7a
-DANDROID_PLATFORM=android-30
-DCMAKE_FIND_ROOT_PATH=/Users/conorgallagher/Qt2/6.7.2/android_armv7
-DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=~/gammaray-android
-DCMAKE_DISABLE_FIND_PACKAGE_Qt6AndroidExtras=ON
-DGAMMARAY_PROBE_ONLY_BUILD=ON
-DGAMMARAY_BUILD_UI=OFF ..

I was hoping that -DCMAKE_DISABLE_FIND_PACKAGE_Qt6AndroidExtras=ON would disable the requirement.

Am I missing something? Are there any patches or workarounds available for building the Android probe with newer Qt 6.x versions?

GammaRay Version: 3.1.0_1 Qt Version: 6.7.2 Target Platform: Android (using armv7)
