They now recover the tree from the VM's IPSW in~/.vphone/ipsws(or$VPHONE_ROOT/ipsws, or beside the machine library), matched by its BuildManifest, and keep it inFirmwareOriginals. Without a matching IPSW the run continues and prints one[!] Board audio repair skipped …line with the manual fix. iPhone guests are unchanged. Launchpad
- No changes. Keep using Launchpad 2.5.0; the

Upgrading
Launchpad 2.5.0 works with any VPhone.bundle 2.5.x and installs this one from Core Bundle. To fix an iPad VM with no sound: keep its IPSW in ~/.vphone/ipsws, stop the machine, and choose Change Core Bundle… with 2.5.1 and Update guest environment on. No reinstall or restore is needed.
