Can't run any commands, globally or per client in Nonary/Vibepollo.

Bug Symptoms

Running global prep commands does not work in Linux, nightly build 2.0.2-nightly.d20261030.r.1.45109fb4fb38

I am trying to run a virtual here command but for testing i created a test.sh which only has echo "hello". Ran chmod +x test.sh and used the full path in the command. Every single command I try is exit code 126.

Even tried sh -c '' with the same errors

Which Linux distribution and package or installation method are you using? Is Vibepollo running as the system machine service, or as a user/standalone process?

Around the existing 01:54 failure, could you share the relevant host and session-broker journal lines, if still available? For example, sudo journalctl -b --no-pager -u vibepollo.service -u 'vibepollo-session-exec@*.service' can be narrowed to the affected time. Please redact credentials, tokens, usernames, private addresses, and unrelated commands. Please also confirm the exact harmless test command and whether it was configured globally or per client.

There is no need to run command authorization, change security settings, or repeat the VirtualHere operation. Exit 126 can have more than one cause; the broker logs and service mode would help distinguish them.

I’m responding on my other account atm, but I am the same person who posted this issue. I will go ahead and try the command again and collect that info for you. Wasn’t aware about the broker logs, so if it can give me more than the exit code I may be able to figure it out but I’ll be sure to post here regardless.

I’m using a fresh install of CachyOS, and running Vibepollo as a systemd service (or whatever default the sudo ./linux_install.sh script does).

Thanks for the journal. It confirms that the global preparation command and a session-execution broker instance both exited with 126, but the excerpt does not include the reason. The other successful broker instances handled separate requests.

The logged and configured command is touch /tmp/test_file_vibebpollo; the path in the sentence below the log is different. For the logged command, could you run this read-only check and share only its output or any error? It counts exact desktop-role matches without printing unrelated authorized commands:

There is no need to rerun the stream, authorize commands, or change permissions. The current authorization tool collects application and per-app preparation commands, not global preparation commands; a matching entry could nevertheless exist if the same string was separately authorized. A missing entry would be relevant but would not rule out an earlier broker failure. If you already configured an application output log, it may also contain a broker diagnostic; please redact private information before sharing any excerpt.
