OpenAI reasoning error for 5.5 and later models

Version affected - 1.7.24 (and earlier versions as well)

Issue - When running OpenAI models past 5.5 any configuration combination (reasoning on/off, low/high/etc) gives error.

I have set reasoning to 'none' in both the Chat and in the System configuration but still received issue. I have tried multiple models past 5.5, up to 6.1 and had issues with each. This indicates these models are unusable since they trigger this warning regardless of configuration settings. Earlier models such as 5-nano work without issue regardless

BaseURL in config is set the openai /v1 url

Error received (example is for 5.6-sol, but error is same for any like model)

[NodeRunError] error, status code: 400, status: 400 Bad Request, message: Function tools with reasoning_effort are not supported for gpt-5.6-sol in /v1/chat/completions. To use function tools, use /v1/responses or set reasoning_effort to 'none'.
