A0 stepping of baochip-1x RTL is in the rtl/ directory.

The intention of this tag is to snapshot the RTL as vendored in from the Crossbar OSS release repo. It is an unmodified, verbatim copy of the open source elements of the chip.

• main will continue to evolve the RTL to improve it for formatting, documentation, and clarity.
• Functional bug fixes should go into branches for candidate integration in the future.
• Future steppings will go into similarly tagged releases. This will allow RTL simulations to "roll back" to previous steppings.

If the RTL base diverges significantly on steppings, this strategy will need to be changed but the working assumption an this moment is that die revisions, if any, will be small.

If there is a die revision large enough that it causes simulation and documentation infrastructure to break, this repo will be forked so that users of the older die rev can conveniently refer to the repository state as reference to that die rev.
