v1.6.0 GitHub images do not work on M5Stack PaperMono Lite

Describe the Bug

The released GitHub images v1.6.0 and v1.6.0_beta_RC04 for the M5Stack PaperMono do not work on the M5Stack PaperMono Lite (which features the same hardware but without the LoRa and NFC chips).

Symptoms

• The screen does not repaint / refresh.
• The .crosspoint folder and state.json file are successfully created on the TF card.

Logs / Serial Output The only message received via the serial port is:

[23182] Wait complete: PaperMono idle (0 ms)

After this message, the serial port restarts, which suggests the device is rebooting.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Get an M5Stack PaperMono Lite device.
2. Download crosspoint-1.6.0-papermono.bin or papermono-1.6.0_beta_RC04.bin from the Releases section of this repository.
3. Flash either of them following the instructions on the repository's main page.
4. Insert a clean SD card formatted to exFAT.
5. Try to power on the device.

Expected Behavior

The device should boot up successfully. Specifically, I expect to see:

1. The CrossPoint splash screen.
2. The main screen.
