Flickering When Anti-Aliasing Is Enabled
When the anti-aliasing option is enabled in the font settings, the display flickers again about 0.5 to 1 second after a page turn. This is very clearly visible. I would have expected the page to be rendered correctly immediately (albeit with a slight delay due to the additional processing).
This happens with all ePub files. Tested with the latest version, 1.6.0.

2Not a dev but I'm pretty sure it's a physical limitation with how the screen can render the 2-bit pixels.
I can confirm this behavior on my X4 Pro as well.
I suspect this might not be a bug, but rather a deliberate design choice (such as "deferred rendering" or a two-stage update). Since rendering grayscale for anti-aliasing on E-Ink displays takes quite a bit of time, the system likely performs a fast, lower-quality update first to keep the UI responsive. The actual high-quality grayscale render (which causes the typical flickering) is then triggered by a timer with a slight delay. This approach also prevents the screen from freezing for seconds when rapidly skimming through multiple pages.
Could a developer or someone familiar with the codebase confirm if this assumption is correct?
If this is indeed intended, would it be possible to add an optional toggle in the font settings (e.g., "Synchronous Rendering")? This would allow users to choose whether they prefer the delayed flicker for faster responsiveness, or a slight blocking delay during page turns for immediate, clean anti-aliasing.
