i tried to run it again pressed 8 which is update and then y and then enter it did not do the check again it got me back to choose options
Thanks, that helps. In your paste the toolkit had already closed at Choose [0]:, so 3 and report.txt went to Terminal instead of the toolkit. Yes, please run it once more. On a Mac:
- In Terminal, paste this and press Enter:
cd ~/Downloads/Zero-Breach-Toolkit-main && python3 -X utf8 scan/zero-breach-toolkit.py - At the first menu, just press Enter. That starts the standard check (about 15 minutes). You already updated the lists, so you can skip option 8 this time. Don't type anything while the check runs.
- When it shows What would you like to do next?, type
3and press Enter, then typereport.txtand press Enter. Type0and press Enter to finish. - To read it, type
open report.txtand press Enter. It opens in TextEdit. The first lines give the result.
If it closes at Choose [0]: again before you can type, please tell me. That would be a bug on our side.
Thanks for trying it.
report.txtisn't a command, it's the file name you give when saving. When the check finishes, the toolkit shows a menu:3and press Enter (Save the readable report).report.txtthere and press Enter.0to finish. If you typed
report.txtafter the toolkit had already closed, Terminal treats it as a command, which gives "command not found". Run the check again and save from the menu at the end.If that's not what happened, could you tell me which computer you're using (Windows, Mac or Linux) and paste the last few lines you see?
