When a window confines the cursor and there's another floating window above but inside, the cursor gets stuck on the upper window's boundary.

Tests
The issue is present in niri, cosmic, sway; not exists in hyprland, kwin_wayland, mutter, and i3wm (yea this is X11 tho).

I can also confirm this undesirable behaviour has existed for a long time in Niri, and isn't new.

avivbintangaringga4mo agoI think I also have similar problem whenever I play game then DMS notification popped up, the game's cursor cannot go below or above the notification, so I can't close the notification either. It just stuck on the edge of the notification.

Yes this also happens with popup layers from other shells like noctalia. I didn't realise the post mentioned windows specifically, but this behaviour is present with both windows and layers.
Seems like the Niri video doesnt load for me.
