Camera shape is one choice, Round, Square or Rectangle: the separate Crop row is gone, and only Square and Rectangle show a corner radius

Devices that stay put: cameras are remembered by their USB identity, an unplugged microphone stays chosen, the launcher shows the microphone's level, a silent microphone is reported, and Stop says "Saving…"

Fixes from testing on an ARM NVIDIA laptop: still screens export, the preview keeps time, one cursor, cameras listed and hot-plugged, audio survives a stalled source, and slow cameras get time to start

Inserted videos: drop a demo or a retake into the timeline at the playhead, and it plays and exports between the recording's clips with its own picture and sound

Clip layouts: a clip shows the screen with the camera bubble, the webcam full frame, or the screen alone, so a recording can open and close on a talking head

Zooms stay on the timeline after trims and cuts: a zoom block was hidden whenever its start or end fell in footage that had been trimmed or cut away, although the zoom still played over what was left, so a recording could visibly zoom with an empty zoom row; the block now covers the zoom's surviving part, and only a zoom cut away entirely is hidden

Double-clicking open zoom track adds a zoom you can see and that fits: the release ending the double-click deselected the new zoom, so it showed no handles, and addZoomAt always made two seconds from the click, overlapping the next zoom; new zooms (double-click or Z) now stay selected, end at the next zoom, back up to keep at least a second, and are not added inside an existing one; usage guide covers clicking a clip to select it

Ryan Hughes
A click selects a clip, like a zoom block, so its trim handles appear: the timeline refinements made a plain press on a clip scrub and left selection to Ctrl+click, so the handles never showed for a normal click; dragging still scrubs, Ctrl+drag still moves the clip, Shift+drag still selects a range, and clicking the clip's label selects it as the speed menu opens

Clip trim handles are the rounded bracket handles again, matching the zoom track and omacut: the timeline refinements had swapped them for a 3 px compact strip; they still show only on the selected clip, and the unused compact mode is gone from OmTrimHandle

Audio no longer cuts the screen video: the audio was muxed in with -shortest, which drops every video frame shown past the end of the audio, so a recording whose audio stopped a little early lost the frames, and the stop repeat, after it (on a locked XPS the video ended at 5.03 s of 10.06); the screen video now sets the length, audio past its end is cut and audio that ends early leaves it whole

Ryan Hughes
Screen video runs to the stop even when the screen has stopped changing: the compositor only sends frames on change, so a recording that ended on a still screen ended at its last change, and the audio, muxed with -shortest, was cut with it (on a locked XPS 10.4 s came out 5.05 s); the last frame written now stays in its slot and is written again at the stop time, and the ring gains a slot to keep the same capture headroom

Ask for the next screen frame as soon as a slow copy finishes: a copy that outlasted the frame interval used up its tick, so the next request waited for the tick after and 4K capture settled at every other tick; the pending tick now carries over (4K on the N1X 29.6 to 42.5 fps, 2880x1800 35 to 57 fps, no drops); note why h264_vulkan is not the fallback encoder: uploading BGRA frames held it below libx264 veryfast at every capture size measured

The launcher floats without a window rule: its width is fixed at 380, and Hyprland (like Sway) floats a toplevel whose minimum and maximum size match in either dimension, centred on the focused monitor; the height still follows the self-view controls; drop the optional window rule from the README and usage guide

Screen frames keep the time they were captured: the encoder read raw video at a constant rate, so whenever capture fell short of the target fps the recording was squeezed (an 8.9 s capture at 50 fps came out 6.9 s, a 14.8 s one at 12 fps came out 2.6 s) and the cursor, clicks, and camera drifted out of sync with it; frames now reach ffmpeg as uncompressed Matroska carrying their presentation times on the 1/fps grid, gaps stay gaps, and B-frames are off so the MP4 durations hold

Play asked for while the preview is still warming up keeps playing: the opening preview paused on its first decoded frame even when play() had been called in the meantime, so pressing play right after the editor opened stopped after one frame; a seek from a stalled player warms up the same way and is covered too; this also made the range-playback and idle-window playhead tests fail whenever the first frame was slow, as with software decoding

Keep Qt's video decoder off NVIDIA's VA-API driver: on the N1X, Arch Linux ARM's FFmpeg has no CUDA, so Qt fell back to nvidia-vaapi-driver, whose frame readback segfaults in vaGetImage (direct backend) or hangs (EGL backend) and crashed the editor on open; restrict decoding to CUDA when libva would load the NVIDIA driver, so x86 keeps CUDA and ARM decodes in software; the editor tests share the same policy
