#263
Install menu still offers Spotify and Ghostty on aarch64 guests with no working install path (Ghostty fix #240 not in a release)
Summary
Two Install-menu entries have no aarch64 build anywhere (Omarchy stable, edge, Arch Linux ARM, or the AUR), yet the menu still offers them on the ARM guest.
| Install menu entry | Status on guest |
|---|---|
| Service → Spotify | Refused with the "unavailable on ARM" message (spotify is arch=('x86_64') in the AUR). Omarchy's Spotify web app (omarchy-launch-webapp https://open.spotify.com) works, but the Install entry doesn't point to it. |
| Terminal → Ghostty | Refused on this guest. #221 was closed on 2026-09-22 by PR #240, but v0.4.1 (2026-09-15) predates it, so shipped guests still can't install it. This is the same release-lag pattern as #257. |
Environment
- Try Omarchy v0.4.1, guest
try-omarchy-runtime 4.0.3-1,aarch64
Expected
- On aarch64, an Install entry either installs something that works (for Spotify, the existing web app) or isn't shown.
- Fixes that are merged, like #240 for Ghostty, reach existing guests through an update rather than only new factory images.

Status on current Omarchy edge / Try Omarchy main:
when: omarchy-hw-x86. Open PR #276 still proposes installing the Spotify web app on aarch64 instead of hiding it entirely.try-omarchypackage (software GL wrapper + desktop-entry hooks; seedocs/ghostty.md). Desktop CI installs/opens it. Remaining gap for older pre-refactor guests is getting onto a release that includes that package, not a missing install path on current main.
