#264
Hermes Desktop, Bitwarden, Ollama and T3 Code fail with raw 'target not found' on aarch64 (Hermes has an aarch64 AUR package the menu never tries)
Summary
Four Install-menu entries fail with a raw target not found on the aarch64 guest. They aren't in aarch64-unavailable-packages and don't get the friendly "unavailable on ARM" message. For one of them a working aarch64 package does exist; it just can't be reached by the install path the menu uses.
Found by auditing every package-backed Install entry on this guest (related: #261, #262, #263).
Environment
- Try Omarchy v0.4.1, guest

Entries
| Install menu entry | Package | aarch64 availability | Problem |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI → Hermes Desktop | hermes-desktop | AUR supports aarch64 (arch=(aarch64 x86_64)) | omarchy-install-ai-hermes uses omarchy-pkg-add, which is pacman-only, so the AUR package is never tried. It should use omarchy-pkg-aur-add, or the package should be published in the Omarchy aarch64 repo. |
| Service → Bitwarden | bitwarden (+ bitwarden-cli) | bitwarden-cli is in ALARM extra, but the desktop app bitwarden isn't in ALARM or the AUR for aarch64 | Fails with target not found. It should be refused cleanly, or install the CLI and point to the web vault. |
| AI → Ollama | ollama (non-GPU branch of the menu action) | Not in ALARM or the AUR. Upstream Ollama ships official linux-arm64 builds, but nothing packages them for this guest. | Fails with target not found. Needs an aarch64 package or a clean refusal. |
| AI → T3 Code | t3code-bin | AUR arch=(x86_64) only | Fails with target not found. PR #253 (open) would add an ARM64 lazy-load path; until that ships, it should be refused. |
Expected
- Hermes Desktop installs on aarch64, since a package exists.
- Bitwarden, Ollama and T3 Code either install through a supported aarch64 path or are refused with the same "unavailable on ARM" message as the other entries, rather than a raw pacman error in a floating terminal that closes.
Status check on current Omarchy edge aarch64 (post thin-shell refactor):
omarchy/ollama 0.35.0-1resolves on aarch64omarchy/t3code-bin 0.1.0-1resolves on aarch64when: omarchy-hw-x86target not found)hermes-desktopon aarch64. The AUR recipe is a different packaging than Omarchy's installer expects (/usr/share/hermes-desktop/install.sh, runtime patch, install stamp), so switching the menu toomarchy-pkg-aur-addis not a drop-in fixOpened #379 to hide Bitwarden and Hermes Desktop behind
omarchy-hw-x86, matching the gaming-row pattern, so Install no longer dumps a raw pacman error.
