Android Remote connection hangs while sending messages

ChatGPT Remote/Codex on Android repeatedly gets stuck while sending messages.

The Android app shows “Sending” or times out with:

Timed out waiting for app-server response to turn/start after 30000ms

Sometimes the message is received and executed on the Windows desktop even though Android keeps spinning. Other times, the desktop never receives the message at all.

The issue occurs on multiple Wi‑Fi networks and through mobile data/mobile hotspot. I do not use a VPN or proxy. The Windows computer remains plugged in, awake, online, and the ChatGPT desktop app stays open.

The issue continues after reinstalling the Android app, restarting the desktop app, recreating the Remote connection, and creating a new Remote thread.

The Windows host is responsive: git status completes normally. No approval prompt appears. No new session transcript is created around the time of the Android timeout.

Most recent reproduced incident: 30 October 2026, approximately between 20:40 and 20:50 Europe/Skopje time. The problem has occurred repeatedly between these times and is still reproducible.

The Android message remains stuck, and reopening the Remote thread sometimes makes it appear, but not consistently.
