What changed
/models now shows coming-soon models by default, next to the active ones. Each coming-soon card has a Coming soon chip, and cards show the model's description.
apps/web/src/lib/models/defaultGatewayStatuses.ts: the default Gateway status filter is now Active + Coming soon instead of Active only (test updated).apps/web/src/components/(data)/models/Models/ModelCard.tsxandModelsGrid.tsx: Coming soon chip and description line on cards.- Patch changeset for
@phaseo/web.
Why
Upcoming models were hidden unless a visitor found the Gateway status filter and ticked Coming soon. The user asked for them to be visible by default, so visitors can see what's about to launch.
How
Only the default changes. The filter still works the same way, and anyone can untick Coming soon. The chip uses the existing status styles, so cards for live models look unchanged.
Before and after
| Metric | Before | After | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Models listed on /models with default filters | 517 | 607 | +90 coming-soon models |
| Coming-soon models marked on their card | n/a (not shown) | every one has a Coming soon chip | new |
Method: I read the counts from the /models sidebar of a local dev server running against the production catalogue on 10-30 (Active on Gateway 517, Coming soon 90).
Verification
pnpm --filter @phaseo/web typecheck(next typegen + tsc): exit 0eslinton the changed folders: 0 errors (existing max-lines warnings only)jest src/components/(data)/models src/lib/models: 29 suites, 190 tests pass, includingdefaultGatewayStatuses.test.ts- Local dev server: loaded /models in a browser. Both Active and Coming soon are ticked by default, and the coming-soon cards (Qwen 4, Perplexity Deep Research) show the chip and description.
- Not verified: a production build.
next devalso logs a server-render error ("Element type is invalid") on /models, butorigin/mainlogs the same error, so this PR didn't cause it. It's tracked as a separate follow-up.
This is PR 1 of 2. The list layout experiment stacks on top of it.
Proved by: unit tests plus loading /models on a local dev server against the production catalogue.
