bug: The version message for the components template is erroneous

If you're using the version message from the components template, and you've installed the crate from crates.io, then instead of seeing a git description with VERGEN_GIT_DESCRIBE, you will be greeted with VERGEN_IDEMPOTENT_OUTPUT, since cargo uses tarballs instead of git repos while installing repos.

@orhun i've finally found the solution to this. We have to update the vergen-gix version to "10.0.0-beta.5", then enable the allow_remote feature, and then change the gix builder logic to the following:

    let gix = Gix::all()
        .remote_url("https://github/com/your/repo")
        .build();

And then it works normally!
