Hi there @remorses, I really appreciate work on that project.

I've made this work, with similar parity (subjectively, as an extensive user of this product), and tried to stick as close as possible to the source material, while taking into account firefox limitations.

How it works: the relay drives your real profile over webdriver bidi. A toolbar addon connects and disconnects tabs, shows status, and restarts the browser with or without automation. A small native helper lets the add-on start the relay, so there's no terminal. Snapshots, locators and labeled screenshots give the same output as chrome.

Limitations: one browser restart to turn automation on (firefox only enables bidi at startup). No cdp-only features (debugger, editor, getCDPSession, recording). Tested on macos only.

My question is, would you like a PR for this, which will also require a PR to your fork of playwright, or you prefer not to include this as part of this project?

This looks really interesting, can you record a video of how the extension looks like in Firefox? does it look like in Chrome where you can click to connect a tab?

Does it work well and reliably?

It works, reliability I would say is subjective, especially in this case, where I could not achieve full parity with source material. I got what I need from it, other might disagree and require more.

You can see how I've implemented the 'start with automation' hack specific to firefox.

If you do see this is fit, I can work with you on making this more stable, and loyal to the source and try to increase the parity, or you can just provide partial firefox support as well.
