Sweater border overlaps with menu bar on maximized windows

Description

When an application window is maximized or set to fill the screen, the sweater border does not look very good at the top of the window because it overlaps with the menu bar.

Suggested improvement

It would be nice to have an option to:

• automatically disable the sweater border for maximized/filled windows, or
• fade out the sweater border near the menu bar using a gradient.

This could make the effect look cleaner while still keeping the sweater border enabled for normal window sizes.
