theme-factory: description says what the skill does but not when to use it

Opendrakedragon007opened 8d ago

The theme-factory frontmatter description is:

Toolkit for styling artifacts with a theme. These artifacts can be slides, docs, reportings, HTML landing pages, etc. There are 10 pre-set themes with colors/fonts that you can apply to any artifact that has been creating, or can generate a new theme on-the-fly.

Anthropic's skill authoring best practices ask the description to state both what the skill does and when to use it, since the description is the only thing the model sees when choosing a skill. This one has no trigger clause, so in setups with many skills installed it rarely gets selected.

Suggested addition, for example: "Use when the user asks to apply a theme, color palette or font pairing to slides, a document or an HTML page, or to make an artifact match a named style."

Minor typo in the same sentence: "has been creating" should be "has been created".

Hey Omar Mohamed.

What is this email?

Please explain what are you suggesting. I never received an email from a developer or GitHub or from anthropics skills.

Thank you.

George.

Hi George,

Apologies for any confusion! This is not a direct email, but rather a standard GitHub comment thread related to the issue you opened (#2064). GitHub automatically sends email notifications for comments, which might be why it appeared in your inbox.

To clarify: I was interested in working on the issue you suggested. I have already implemented your exact recommendation (fixing the "creating" -> "created" typo and adding the trigger clause to the description) and opened a Pull Request for the Anthropic maintainers to review.

Thank you for reporting the issue and providing the clear solution!

Best regards, Omar
