Copy on select" silently breaks all copying after long uptime – disabling the setting fixes it instantly without restart (Windows)

Describe the bug

After Warp has been running for several days, copying text out of Warp stops working entirely: selecting text shows the "Copied" toast, and Ctrl+C on a selection also appears to succeed, but the Windows clipboard is never updated (old content remains).

The bug is tied to the "Copy on select" feature: the moment I disable Settings -> "Copy on select", copying via Ctrl+C works again INSTANTLY - no restart of Warp required. While broken, the degraded copy-on-select handler apparently also swallows explicit Ctrl+C copies.

This has been happening since my first installed Warp version and survives every update; it only ever appears after long uptime.

To reproduce

  1. Enable "Copy on select".
  2. Keep Warp running for several days (exact trigger time unknown; always appears only after long uptime).
  3. Select text -> toast says "Copied" -> paste anywhere: clipboard still has the OLD content.
  4. Ctrl+C on a selection: same silent failure.
  5. Disable "Copy on select" -> copying works again immediately, without restarting Warp.

Expected behavior

Copy on select (and Ctrl+C) actually writes the selection to the Windows clipboard, or fails visibly instead of showing a success toast.

Screenshots, videos, and logs

Diagnostics performed WHILE the bug was active:

  • Windows clipboard itself was healthy: Set-Clipboard/Get-Clipboard roundtrip OK from PowerShell, and "echo Test123 | clip" executed INSIDE Warp put "Test123" on the clipboard correctly (pasteable in other apps). Only Warp's UI copy path fails.
  • Pasting INTO Warp always works; copy/paste between all other applications works.
  • No process was holding the clipboard open (GetOpenClipboardWindow = null).
  • Local console session (no RDP), no clipboard managers, no VM clipboard sharing.

Is this an issue only in Warp?
