#16643
Code review panel doesn't refresh after .git/info/exclude changes
Describe the bug
After adding a path to .git/info/exclude, Warp's code review panel keeps
showing the excluded files as changes. Git reports a clean working tree.
Restarting Warp clears the stale entries, so the exclude file is respected,
but changes to it are not picked up live.
To reproduce
- In any git repo, create an untracked directory, e.g.
.codegraph/. - Open the code review panel —
.codegraph/is listed as a change (expected). - Add it to the local exclude file:
echo .codegraph/ >> .git/info/exclude - Run
git status --short— output is empty. - Check the code review panel again.
Expected behavior
The panel updates to match git status and drops the excluded files, the
same way it would after a .gitignore edit.
Actual behavior The panel keeps showing the excluded files until Warp restarts.
Environment
- OS: macOS (Darwin 25.6.0)
- Warp version: v0.2026.10.21.08.25.stable_02
