apple-event-tui

A terminal UI for browsing Apple events and WWDC content.

The app currently pulls public WWDC26 data from Apple Developer:

  • /api/v1/content/catalog/?locale=en for schedule, labs, office hours, and event metadata
  • /videos/wwdc2026/ for released video cards and durations
  • Engadget's schema.org liveblog feed for structured posts and per-post images
  • MacRumors' static live coverage for timestamped updates and keynote images
  • iClarified's dense WWDC keynote liveblog feed for timestamped transcript-style entries
  • Macworld's liveblog for commentary-style entries

The list view refreshes every 5 minutes. The event detail view refreshes every 15 seconds so it can track an active keynote/live event.

The timeline can show all parsed liveblog sources together, or one source at a time:

  • All liveblogs
  • Engadget
  • MacRumors
  • iClarified
  • Macworld

Install

go install .

Or run it directly:

go run .

After publishing the repo, go install github.com/perryraskin/apple-event-tui@latest will work.

Notes

Apple's public endpoints are not documented as a stable API. If Apple changes the WWDC site payloads, the parser may need to be updated.
